Dan Haves

Dan Haves is a graduate from the University of British Columbia School of Journalism who has co-produced documentaries for FRONTLINE/World (PBS), Around the World (CBC) and Dan Rather Reports (HDNet). His work has taken him from the crowded streets of Hong Kong to the deserted mountains of northern India. Originally from London, Ontario, Dan graduated with a BA in Film Studies from the University of Western Ontario. He is currently a junior associate producer with CityTV as well as the communications officer for the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education.

Anupreet Sandhu Bhamra

Anupreet Sandhu Bhamra is an award-winning broadcaster, print and web journalist. Recipient of prestigious national ‘Broadcaster of the Future Award’ by Global Television, she has reported for national news organizations in Canada and India for over a decade. Most recently, she worked for US-based NBC News. Prior to that, she reported for Canada’s largest national newspaper, The Globe and Mail, where she also produced a video web feature. In the summer of 2008, Anupreet travelled to India to film a team of medical students who help a under-serviced boarding school in a remote Himalayan valley run a health care centre. The CBC-commissioned documentary, called Ordinary Canadians, Extraordinary Impact, was broadcast on CBC’s ‘Around the World’. She received her Master of Journalism degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of British Columbia in 2009. While at the school, she was a recipient of prestigious university and private academic scholarships.
